China Mourns the Potential Loss of Google

Parting Ways?
The sign at Google China's Beijing headquarters was covered in flowers by concerned Internet users after the search-engine giant announced on Jan. 12, 2010, that it would end cooperation with Chinese Internet censorship and may leave the country altogether. The unusual confrontation followed sophisticated hacker attacks on Google's systems that Google claimed originated in China. The Chinese government denied involvement.
